Varda´s films remain subversive!

The first film of the “Cycle Bodies; I am rooted, but I flow” is, regretably, gaining enormous pertinence with the recent aggressions on the reproductive and sexual rights that women conquered years ago. Whereas countries like Argentina are decriminalizing abortion, other countries like Poland and, now, the United States, prohibit it or try to prohibit it. Rights can never be taken for granted and, therefore, it is important to always open windows for reflection. Place: Faro Municipal Museum, open-air screening, June 3 at 9:30 pm.
